Troy Gay joined the Mike Hostilo Law Firm in 2019 to bring his years of experience to the litigation team.
Troy’s first experience in law was under the direct supervision of Georgia Supreme Court Justice George T. Smith in 1987 while in law school. After law school, he started a solo Plaintiff’s PI practice in Decatur, Georgia.
By 1997 Troy moved back to his hometown of Millen, Georgia, where he was appointed County Attorney for Jenkins County in 1998. He served in that capacity through 2017. In 1999, Troy was elected Solicitor-General of Jenkins County, Georgia and served in that capacity until January 2019.
During the late 90s and early 2000s, Troy performed insurance defense work for Clarendon National Ins. Company. Troy also has extensive domestic relations litigation and criminal defense work for the past 20 years.

In the Community
Mike is extremely active in his community, contributing his time, services and money toward worthy local initiatives. He frequently donates free legal services to veterans and government officials, while also donating financially to a number of organizations throughout Georgia. In addition, Mike contributes time to his alma mater, the University of Georgia, the Hostilo Foundation, the Boys and Girls Club of Savannah, Beaufort Academy and the First Tee of Savannah.
